In to action, stage 1


Well I have taken the first steps forward to the welsh 3000s, got some good interest in taking a group down to snowdonia in June time,
Will arrange a group meeting and see what they want to do and how interested they are in undertaking the challenge.
Just need to get my training program up and running plus to shed the last stone over the next 4 months.
Good news this morning I broke i the 14st 7lbs, only by a pound but that is enough.

More ideas are forming

Just looked up walks around uk and found the welsh 3000 peaks, 51 k off welsh mountain and it looks grand.
Can it be done and is it the challenge I need to focus on, really get a buzz looking at this climb as it's the most challenging in the uk.
Really need to read up on this one as it fits the bill, fitness is a real must on this as the ascents and descents are quite difficult and some off track climbing so fitness would be a stricken training regime.
Need to thinking time on this one

My next goal

Right I said to myself, I need a goal a direction to enable me to focus on.
3 mountains in 3 days for next year, get a team together and some sponsorship for the hospital and the organise some accommodation then find a guru for the lakes to pick the 3 hardest routes,
Got some good interest already from some senior staff so should be and easy time of it getting it of the ground.

Weekend is a funny time

Well another weekend, I can find they so frustrating as the temptation to eat can be to much. The alternative is to go out which costs and this seems like double jeopardy.
Plus side clothes are starting to look better on me and the temptation to buy is hard to resist.

Just no motivation today

Today was no good for motivation I have a cold starting and just lacked the energy to do any training.
This should pass soon and then I can get back to doing a decent work out.
One another note what has gotten into the youth of England that they feel that they have no one to answer too.
This will loose good people their civil liberties.
What a shame we only learn once we have lost.

Back in the gym

Well back from holiday and now to set my new goal, for next year.
Loose another stone and get down to 13.5 and look at 3 mountains in three days for next year:
Helvelyn
Scafell pike
And sharp edge

At last on top of a mountain

I will complete the intro to this blog at some point, but this is day 203 and just back from the lake district and my accent to the peak of Helvelyn via striding edge.
This was one of my mile stones on my life changing journey.
For now it's back into he gym and get into better shape and loose the last stone getting to my goal of 13.5 stone making my total loss of 7 stones in a year.
My real goal is to get fit and change my life, setting goals that will push my limits.

My 6 stone journey and beyond

well I thought this might be worth a few words.
This all started on the 11th January 2011 and I looked at my self in the mirror just got passed the xmas pig out and turned 45, not a pretty sight and I could not stop thinking this needs to be a turning point in my life an epiphany, that in order to change I must do it myself.
The next morning listening to radio 1 the team was talking about an app to help manage weight loss called my fitness pal, grabbing my Iphone and installing, this app looked just what I needed as it logged at the calories ate and if I did some exercise then it gave me a minus. what could be simpler.
